Company History

Reliable Electric is a 3rd generation family owned business established in 1942 by Harry (Mac) McCoy. In 1968, Mac’s brother Randy purchased both Reliable Electric and Centerville Electric. Thirty years later, in 1998, Randy sold the business to his nephew Joe Ryan.

Recent Growth

Continuing a tradition of excellence and value, Reliable’s residential customer base has doubled and its commercial department remains one of the fastest growing across the Miami Valley. Additionally, Reliable Data Cabling was added to the Reliable “family” to provide low voltage cabling design and installation. Due to Reliable’s growth and high demand for its services, a new facility was purchased in 2002. With this larger facility, Reliable is well staged for continued growth in all electrical and data cabling market segments.

Future Plans

Reliable is increasing its customer base across all market segments. Additionally, the company will be expanding its service footprint to include northern Cincinnati customers.
